Katherine’s Story
Precious memories preserved
"In the early hours of Friday morning on the 19th of April 2024 I went into early labour at exactly 28 weeks; there were a couple of events that followed during the birth which led to our perfect baby boy Archie being born very poorly and later that evening we tragically lost him.
The NICU nurses at the Leeds General Infirmary told us about ‘remember my baby’ that Friday evening and at the time I remember talking about it and thinking professional photos were the last thing on our minds and we weren’t sure if it was for us, but we agreed, remembering the advice of our sister in law, to create all the memories we could and even if we didn’t want to look at them now, we might want to later.
Anton arrived the following morning at 11am. He was kind, respectful and clearly passionate about making the most perfect memories for us. And that’s exactly what he did.
We are so grateful for these beautiful photos we have now and we share them with such pride over our perfect baby boy Archie.
Remember My Baby is such an incredible charity and alongside Leeds NICU nurses, they made a heartbreaking experience that little bit easier. " - Katherine
