Regional Support Officer

Our Regional Support Officers (RSOs) support the Lead Photographer in caring for our photographers’ emotional wellbeing. They operate within defined geographical areas across the UK.

Whenever a photographer has been allocated a remembrance photography session, the RSO will be notified so that they can check in with the volunteer afterwards. Some RSOs also hold regular online or face-to-face meet ups for their team or arrange team WhatsApp groups.

RSOs are also responsible for supporting volunteer recruitment in their region and communication with hospital and hospice staff in the area. Sometimes they also represent RMB at midwife training days and local events.

Photography knowledge isn’t mandatory, but empathy is essential. The role is fully home based, and you will need the use of a computer and mobile phone.
